Hardwick Hall Garden Party
Pop Royalty The Jacksons, Simple Minds and Scouting for Girls to headline Hardwick Live Garden Party!
Yet again Magic 1170 is proud to be supporting Hardwick Live. Last year's line-up featured legendary artists including Texas, Jools Holland, Alison Moyet, the Lovebale Rogues and lots more!
This year’s Hardwick Live will take place in the picturesque grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September. Simple Minds will headline the Friday with Scouting for Girls, with The Jacksons taking top billing on the Saturday.
The four brothers of pop legend Michael Jackson – Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito – will headline the Saturday night, performing Jackson 5 and The Jacksons hits such as ABC, I Want You Back, Blame It On the Boogie, Can you Feel It and I’ll Be There – still the best selling song in Motown history.
Glaswegian band Simple Minds will headline the Friday stage. The Brit Award nominated band have had a string of hits including Alive and Kicking and Belfast Child as well as a US number one with Don’t You (Forget About Me), the anthem of 80s teen movie The Breakfast Club. Even more acts for the Friday will be announced in the coming weeks for what is sure to be an incredible night of music.
Eighties idol Adam Ant, lead singer of Adam and the Ants, will support The Jacksons on the Saturday line-up. Adam scored 10 top ten hits in the UK including three number one singles, and at one point had no fewer than eight singles in the UK Top 40 at the same time.
Adam will be joined by iconic rock band Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel; Hugh Cornwall of The Stranglers and 90s Brit pop heroes Dodgy.
Soul singer Kenny Thomas, Teesside’s Cattle and Cane and London singer song-writer Emma Garrett, who cites 6 Music’s Laurene Laverne and Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs as fans, will also perform on the Saturday.
In addition to the music, partygoers can look forward to fairground rides and street entertainers, a brass band, DJ stage and the luxurious Champagne Taittinger hot air balloon. There will also be an International food village as well as Champagne, Pimms and cocktails tents on site throughout the weekend.
Friday’s event will run from 4-11pm and gates will re-open on Saturday from noon-11pm.
