Music icon Elton John has announced a brand new album. 'Revamp' will features covers of his songs from some of the biggest names in music. With artists such as Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige, this album will quickly be popular amongst fans of both Elton and the artists covering his music.

In the new album Ed Sheeran covers the well known tribute to Marilyn Monroe, and more recently Diana, Princess of Wales, 'Candle In The Wind'. The 1997 version rewritten for Diana, Princess of Wales, became the second highest selling single of all time after Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' from 1942. The song also won Elton a GRAMMY for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance the following year.

Also featured on the album is Sam Smith's version of 'Daniel'. 'Daniel' was originally released in 1973. The song won Elton and his long-time writing partner and lyricist Bernie Taupin an Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

Oscar nominated Mary J. Blige has also included her version of Elton's 1976 hit 'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word'. At the time of its release the original song was very popular reaching number 11 in the UK and number 6 in the USA.
