David Bowie leads the charge at this year’s Q Awards with six prestigious nominations.

!Taking place in London on Monday 21st October, Q Magazine’s annual awards ceremony will honour the greatest music of the past year as voted by the readers themselves.

Dominating the nominees, David Bowie is up for Q Best Track (for ‘Where Are We Now?’), Q Best Video (‘The Stars Are Out Tonight’), Q Best Album (‘The Next Day’), Q Best Solo Artist, Q Best Act in the World Today and Q Best Event for his V&A exhibition.

Other notable nominees include Muse and The Stone Roses (Q Best Live Act), Manic Street Preachers (Q Best Video for ‘Show Me The Wonder’) and The Rolling Stones (Q Best Event for Hyde Park).

The event will once again be hosted by Al Murray aka The Pub Landlord, who said: “October is the only month with a Q in it! It’s a thrill once more to be hosting what has to be the greatest event in the music calendar. Not that I can remember any of the previous Q Awards that I’ve hosted ”
