Betting Suspended On Fleetwood Mac Headlining Glastonbury

Bookmakers are no longer taking bets

Bookmakers are no longer taking bets on whether Fleetwood Mac will headline Glastonbury Festival next summer.

The British-American soft rock giants had been listed by Ladbrokes at 1/4 on to play Worthy Farm in June, however, due to intensified speculation and rumours betting has now been suspended.

Last month Mick Fleetwood revealed the band were forced to turn down Glastonbury 2013 due to their touring commitments.

The 66-year-old music icon told Gigwise: "We were asked to do some lovely festivals this year and it didn't work out.

“Once you do the festivals then you can't really do a tour of the other towns. We were asked to do Glastonbury this year and hopefully they'll ask us again."

Other acts rumoured to be topping the world-famous Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury included David Bowie, Daft Punk, Oasis and Prince.

Yesterday morning all 120,000 Glastonbury tickets sold out in the record time of just one hour and 27 minutes. Over 1million people had registered for tickets to the legendary event.

Michael Eavis has previously confirmed the 2014 headliners are already booked and they’re “three bands who haven’t played Glastonbury” before.
