Peter Kay's Car Share returned to our TV screens last night for the second episode in season two, but viewers were left in shock to discover one of the characters was actually Lord Varys off Game Of Thrones.

Actor Conleth Hill, who has portrayed the role of Lord Varys in the hit HBO fantasy drama since 2011, made an appearance in Car Share dressed as a smurf!

In a total contrast to his character in Game Of Thrones, Conleth played John (Peter Kay) and Kayleigh's (Sian Gibson) drunken co-worker Elsie at a work's fancy dress party.

As if John dressed up as Harry Potter and Kayleigh dressed up as Hagrid wasn't hilarious enough, Elsie rocked up to the party in full blue body paint.

Whilst some viewers thought the new character was Peter Kay dressed up, others were in shock when they discovered it was in fact popular Game Of Thrones character Lord Varys.

Peter Kay's Car Share first hit our TV screens back in 2015 and became an instant hit with viewers due to its hilarious and witty story lines.

Season one, which was filmed around Greater Manchester, focused mainly on supermarket manager John and promotions rep Kayleigh take part in their work car share scheme. As their friendship blossomed, fans were left in hysterics at their conversations to and from work.
