EastEnders bosses announced a brand new family called The Taylors will be joining the soap in the summer, but fans may recognise new boy Keanu from another popular TV show.

Yes that's right, actor Danny Walters is in fact Benidorm's party boy Tiger Dyke.

You'll be forgiven if you didn't realise as Danny looks completely unrecogniable in his promo shots for EastEnders. Losing his slicked back locks, Danny has a skin head as he portrays the role of Walford's new boy Keanu Taylor.

Yesterday EastEnders confirmed The Taylor family will consist of 'loudmouth' single mum Karen and her four kids, Danny Walters, newcomer Clair Norris and real-life siblings Tom and Alfie Jacobs.

There will also be new arrivals in the form of Bronson the dog and Rooney, a bearded dragon!

Bosses described new character Karen as a 'fierce woman' on the outside but a 'kind-hearted and loyal' single mum who's had it tough as two of her four children have learning difficulties.

The Taylor family are set to join the soap in the summer.

Meanwhile actor Danny has left his role in ITV show Benidorm in order to join the soap. Danny filmed his final scenes in season nine and won't be returning for season ten later in the year.

Danny first joined Benidorm back in 2014 and quickly became a fan favourite with his on-screen bromance with fellow actor Nathan Bryon who plays Joey Ellis in the hit comedy show.

Danny has also starred in an episode of Call The Midwife during season five.

The 23-year-old will join EastEnders in the coming months.
