It's no secret that Friends fans are still obsessed with the show 14 years after it ended. Despite the last episode airing in 2004, fans of the iconic show are constantly calling for a reunion series or film - all to no avail.

However, show producer David Crane has now been quizzed over the characters' futures, and has given us little scraps of information.

Whilst appearing on the comedy showrunners panel for The Wrap's Emmy Series, his fellow panelist Rachel Bloom, who stars on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, couldn't contain her inner Friends fan and asked him the question on everyone's lips.

Are Ross and Rachel still together?!

Rachel asked him, "In your opinion, Ross and Rachel, how are they doing? Are they still together? Is that sustainable?" - and what a very eloquent way to phrase it, too.

David replied with what every Friends fan was hoping to hear, "Yes. Come on, they worked really hard, ten years."

Good point!

But David didn't stop there - after Rachel asked whether Monica and Chandler Bing were still going strong, he confirmed that they were indeed very happy.

Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends - as David categorically denied that any Friends reunion would ever occur in the future.

He said, "Never happening. Never. We did it! It’s done. That’s why you don’t want to see more of it, because it’s all a happy ending."

Ahh, what a wise old owl.

The denial of a reunion isn't exactly news to fans of the show, as pretty much every single one of the main six have confirmed that they'd never return to their characters.
