Last night's episode of Coronation Street (25th June) was incredibly emotional as it showed Flora McArdle preparing to bury her son, Vinny Ashford. Vinny, whose real name was Harvey, was murdered by the villainous Pat Phelan who finally got his comeuppance earlier this month after years of terrorising the residents of Weatherfield.

Viewers will remember that conman Vinny was shot dead by Andy Carver in harrowing scenes last year, with Phelan then shooting Andy too and dumping both bodies in the pond by the mill in October.

Of course, months later in March, Phelan got wind that the bodies were about to be found - so he dragged them out of the lake and tried to bury them in cement... Before falling in the cement himself.

Fast forward to last night's episode when poor old Flora was coming to terms with burying her son, she went with Daniel Osbourne and Sinead Tinker to see his body - later telling Dan that she thought her son had "looked peaceful."

But viewers were quick to point out that after months of being in mucky pondwater then cement, Vinny would probably not be looking too great.

But one viewer jumped to Flora's defense, and had a deep explanation for what she might have meant.

In other Weatherfield news, Eva Price was relieved after Johnny Connor told her he would be dropping the custody case to try and take baby Susie away from her, instead kindly saying his behaviour hadn't been very kind and saying that it's "what Aidan would have wanted."
