It's had the nation gripped over the past few weeks, but last night (23rd September), viewers got to see the VERY tense finale of Bodyguard, starring Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes. However, despite the tense plot of the show keeping the attention of the majority, it seems that a few noticed some gaffes and plot holes that cropped up in the show.

MAJOR SPOILERS IN THE BELOW ARTICLE

First up, what happened to the kompromat - which is a Russian word translated as 'compromising material'. At one point in the final episode of the six-part series, DS Budd can be seen putting in the boiler, however his wife Vicky is later digging it up from the garden!

One viewer took to Twitter to ask the question, that many eagle-eyed viewers were also wondering saying, 'At the start of the #Bodyguard finale, David hid the kompromat in the boiler before going to meet Chanel. Then suddenly Vicky has to dig it up from the garden. When and why was it moved?!'

Whilst a few other viewers put forward some possible suggestions as to Vicky hunting in the garden, it still seems to be a plot hole that won't be explained.

Meanwhile, during the episode which sees David find himself in the very unfortunate situation of waking up, to find himself strapped into a suicide vest, those in the know, took to Twitter to make a point that radios shouldn't be used near a suicide vest as it would risk the chance of it triggering the device.

Another fail, noticed by viewers, was when the police were using a GoPro for a live feed of DS Budd's chest. However, in the footage shown the camera wasn't on! The camera on the tripod didn't have anything on the display. Oops!

Whilst these fails have been noticed by many of the show's viewers, former SAS soldier Chris Ryan, has told Daily Star Online about another gaffe! "Whenever you see the Prime Minister or any high-ranking official, they would also have a female bodyguard," Chris explained.

"The simple fact is you would have a mixture of men and women but the close bodyguard to Theresa May would be a female."

He went on to explain, "When she goes into a restaurant or any facilities if she needs to go to the bathroom, that WPC Woman Police Constable or bodyguard would have to go in there and check it.

"You can’t have a guy standing outside the washrooms waiting for her to come out, so that didn’t add up. But you’ve got to have a love interest and the rest of it."

And it's now been revealed that the show's creator, Jed Mercurio, reckons there could be plenty more coming from DS Budd and co.
