Will Young QUITS Strictly Come Dancing
Bosses confirmed the news
Singer Will Young has quit Strictly Come Dancing due to ‘personal reasons’.
The former Pop Idol winner admitted he would ‘leave with joy in his heart’ and praised his professional dancing partner Karen Clifton.
In a statement, Will said the following:
"To be a part of Strictly has been a long-time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for.
"I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out. I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience.
"Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons. I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television."
Strictly Come Dancing bosses also announced the shock news on their official Facebook account.
Neither Will or Strictly bosses elaborated further on why he was leaving the competition.
Upon hearing the news, viewers of the show took to Twitter to ask if EastEnders actress Tameka Empson would be returning following her elimation last weekend.
Tameka lost out to Laura Whitmore in the dance-off, meaning the actress was sent home from the competition.
Bosses are yet to confirm what the news means for the show or if any former constantans will be making a comeback.
