The Wanted Talk Splitting Up

They might end up watching daytime TV, the boys tell us

The Wanted have spoken to Entertainment NOW! about their upcoming split later this year.

Contrary to tabloid reports, the boys say there was no in-band bickering – in fact they never have arguments.

Explaining how the boys came to the decision back in January, the ‘Chasing The Sun’ hitmakers said they were very tense:

The Wanted will call it a day when they wrap up their Word of Mouth World Tour in America this May. The jaunt also includes a string of UK & Ireland arena shows that kick off in Liverpool next Friday (14th March).

The lads told us that it’s going to be a very strange experience when they finally call it a day – in fact they might just end up watching daytime TV!

Over their five year career, The Wanted have scored three Top 10 albums, two number one singles (‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’) plus seven more Top 10 songs – including last October’s ‘Show Me Love (America)’.

Despite The Wanted's huge career successes, 'Word of Mouth' has only sold an estimated 40,000 copies in the UK and had plummeted outside the top 75 by the sixth week of sale.

Last December they cancelled their mainland European tour blaming "unforeseeable changes" in their scheduling.
