Prince William has an awkward clash on Prince Harry’s wedding date
Awks!
Just as we were so excited to find out the exact date of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding next year, it seems there is a BIG clash for footy fans, and it's going to be REALLY awkward for Prince William.
It turns out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding date is also the FA Cup Final date, which has been in the calendar for quite some time! Not only is it a clash of two very big events, it also means that Prince William, who is the President of the FA, will have a very awkward decision to make.
This revelation has caused a bit of a stir on Twitter with a number of people wondering what the outcome will be. Will they move one of the dates, or could Prince William actually make both engagements?!
Journalist Mark Di Stefano took to Twitter to say, 'This is genuinely hilarious', whilst another responded saying, 'Is he going to flit between the two?'
Another user even joked that Harry might check his phone for the score during the ceremony.
Whilst another user known as Simon revealed how his friends had a clash, and people were listening to the game in the church. He said, 'Our friends got married in a similar manner, this is still on our fridge reminding us of the in-church headphones being worn😂'.
At the time of writing we have yet to find out what will happen about this clash.
The date of Harry and Meghan's wedding was announced earlier today by Kensington Palace in a statement which read, 'His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018.'
It continued, 'Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.'
The couple's engagement was officially announced last month, but a date was not revealed at the time.
