Kings of Leon Drummer Suffers Broken Ribs In Tour Bus Crash

The band were forced to cancel a show

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has suffered broken ribs in a tour bus accident.

The rock giants were travelling from Boston to their show in Saratoga Springs, New York when a pedestrian stepped in front of the bus forcing the driver to break.

Due to Nathan’s injuries, the band have postponed their show at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center last night (10th August).

A statement on Kings of Leon’s official Facebook page reads: “IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to an accident on their tour bus, Kings of Leon will unfortunately have to postpone tonight’s show in Saratoga Springs, NY. The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill.

“Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well. The band will postpone the show that was planned for TONIGHT, August 10th, until further notice. Refunds for ticket holders will be available at point of purchase. For up to date information please visit www.kingsofleon.com.”

Shortly after the announcement, Nathan took to Twitter to thank fans for their well wishes.

There has been no announcement about whether the next show of Kings of Leon’s Mechanical Bull tour in Wantagh on Wednesday night will go ahead.
