Chrissy Teigen hits back at ‘mummy shamers’
She was accused of holding her daughter 'wrong'
American supermodel Chrissy Teigen has hit back at online trolls after they accused her of holding her baby daughter Luna incorrectly.
Chrissy, who recently set her Twitter profile to private after admitting she is ‘not strong enough’ to deal with online trolls, couldn’t help herself hit back when one particular user ‘mummy shamed’ her.
One of Chrissy’s followers tweeted the mum-of-one a picture of herself carrying baby Luna with one hand while having her other hand across her daughter's face. Alongside the snap, the user wrote ‘This is not how a baby is held!!!’
Just a few hours later, a furious Chrissy responded saying,"Really because that's how I'm f* holding her.’ She then added, ‘Photos are literally split-second moments in time that evolve. I despise mommy shamers. I am a proud shamer of mommy shamers'.
When another user fired back, the 30-year-old also defended herself further by saying, ’There are incorrect ways to hold infants whether shielding her from a fire or pap! Please, do shut up.’
Chrissy welcomed Luna with her husband John Legend back in April and announced the news in a cute social media post.
Taking to Instagram, Chrissy posted a photo of her daughter’s weight from the hospital monitor with the caption, 'She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy.'
Since then, both parents have shared adorable photos of Luna to their social media accounts.
