She teases the title in a birthday tweet

Adele has strongly hinted that her fervently anticipated third album is called ‘25’.

Taking to Twitter on the eve of her 26th birthday late on Sunday night, Adele posted a pic of herself along with the message “Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x”

If the album is indeed called ’25’, Adele will be continuing the theme of her first two mega successful albums ‘19’ and ‘21’, which were named after her age when she wrote them.

Although very little is known about the album we do know that Adele has been working with her long-term collaborator Paul Epworth plus One Republic's Ryan Tedder who said Adele is “sounding better than ever” on the new material.

Adele’s critically acclaimed 2011 album ‘21’ has sold more than 26.4million copies to date making it one of the successful records of all time.

The best selling record of both 2011 and 2012 globally, ‘21’ almost single-handedly reversed the decline of album sales in both the UK and US.

It also helped boost the bank balance of Adele’s label XL Recordings from £3million to £32million in the space of just one year.
