Young girl dies in Norfolk collision

A young girl has died after she was struck by a car in Norfolk.

Police were called to the B1106 Lynn Road, Weeting, at around 5.30pm on Saturday 8 November.

A blue Dacia Duster collided with a child pedestrian.

The road was closed as emergency services including ambulance and air ambulance attended the scene.

The child, a girl, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with life threatening injuries where she has since lost her life.

Officers say they would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dashcam footage.

The driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
