Witness appeal after man threated and assaulted in Lowestoft pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was threatened and attacked in a pub in Lowestoft earlier this month.

The incident happened at The Volunteer on London Road North on July 16 at around 5:30pm, while the man was drinking with friends.

He was approached by a man who made threats before slapping him across the face.

The suspect is described as white and in his 40s, with slight stubble and balding, shaved fair hair and about 5ft 9in tall.

He was wearing a baseball cap, shorts and T-shirt and was seen in the pub with a woman in the moments before the incident.

The victim was unhurt but any witnesses are being urged to contact Suffolk Police.
