Woman from Wisbech dies in crash on the A605

A woman in her 20's was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have confirmed a woman in her 20's has died following a crash involving a car and a van on the A605 between Coates and March.

Emergency services were called to reports a black Vauxhall Astra and a white Ford Transit van had collided just after 6.15am on Friday 3rd June.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 20's from Wisbech, died at the scene.

The driver of the van, a 54 year-old man from Spalding in Lincolnshire, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.
