Firefighters from Wisbech have helped to tackle a fire in Murrow.

They joined colleagues from March to Front Road at 7.55pm on Sunday (31 January).

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a garage that was spreading to nearby fencing and houses. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 10.45pm.

The cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
