Woman suffers life-threatening injuries in Wisbech crash
The road is expected to be closed for several hours
A woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash on the A47.
Police were called to the road at South Brink in Wisbech after it was reported a lorry and a car had collided.
The lorry driver was unharmed, but a woman has been taken to the QE, and is in a critical condition.
The road is closed between the Guyhirn roundabout and the Cromwell Road roundabout in Wisbech, and is expected to remain so until later this evening.
As a result of the collision the A47 is closed between the Guyhirn roundabout and the Cromwell Road Wisbech roundabout until further notice.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.
