Norfolk's Alfie Hewett aiming for second Wimbledon trophy in two days
The Norwich tennis star is in the singles final, after winning doubles crown with Gordon Reid.
Norfolk's Alfie Hewett and long-time doubles partner Gordon Reid, came from a set down to claim their fifth Wheelchair Wimbledon Doubles crown.
The crowd inside Court One were fired up throughout, with the Brits using the home support in their victory over Japanese duo Takuya Miki and Tokito Oda.
The British pair were were runners-up last year, but secured a 3-6 6-0 6-3 victory to claim their 18th grand slam.
The Norfolk native spoke after the three-set thriller, saying: “That was something else, I’ve got goose bumps,
“We dream of atmospheres like this, it doesn’t come around often and I’m glad we rose to the occasion.”
Hewett's Scottish partner Reid, took revenge after losing to 17-year-old Oda in the semi-final.
The teenager will be facing up against Norwich ace Hewett in the final which gets underway back on Court One at 11:00am.
The Men's Singles Final also takes place today with Novak Djokovic up against world number one Carlos Alcaraz. That one is on Centre court and is scheduled for 14:00.
