The University of East Anglia is urging students who don't get the results they want this morning not to dismiss going through clearing.

The appeal comes as thousands of college and sixth-form students across the county get their A and/or T Level results today.

"Don't panic! You will have plenty of opportunities"

Professor Charlie Seger works in admission at the University of East Anglia:

"If you do end up going into clearing, for whatever reason, don't panic! You will have plenty of opportunities.

"Usually you should be able to get an offer or the offer of an interview, through clearing. You'll then be able to take some additional time to do more more research on the places you're looking at.

"Hopefully you'll be able to talk to students or academics. We always try to make sure we have an academic who can call our clearing applicants"

"People come to UEA for a variety of reasons, with all sorts of grades. We want to do what we can to give students a great opportunity to succeed here.

"So many of our students are absolutely delighted to get a place through clearing."
