Two charged over Wisbech murder

Police have charged two people with murder following the death of a man last year.

Two people have been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man in Wisbech in September last year.

Tom Lewis, who was 23 and from Larksfield, died in hospital two days after being stabbed in the leg on Norwich Road on the 8th September 2020.

He was initially taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn before being airlifted to Addenbrooke's for surgery.

He was placed on life-support in intensive care, but died when a decision was made to turn off the life-support machine.

Two people, who were arrested at the time and released under investigation, have now been re-arrested and charged.

William Ferreira, who's 24 and from Cherry Road, has been charged with murder.

While 19 year-old Jack Dida from Turbus Road in King's Lynn, has been charged with murder and assisting an offender.

Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Cambridge Magistrates' Court this morning (6th May).

Four other men, aged 18, 22 and two aged 32, were arrested on suspicion of murder last year and released under investigation.

No further action will now be taken against them.
