Three women to face trial over theft of lambs from Sandringham Estate farm

They've pleaded not guilty to the offences

A trial date has been set after three women denied a series of charges related to the theft of lambs and animal welfare offences.

It follows reports that three lambs were stolen from a field in West Newton, Norfolk, in May.

Sarah Foy, 23, of North Street, Alfreton, Derbyshire, Rose Patterson, 34, of no fixed address, and Rosa Sharkey, 23, of Mayville Estate, London, appeared via video link at Kings Lynn magistrates court today.

They each pleaded not guilty to:

  • One count of stealing three lambs from a farm in West Newton between 24 and 25 May 2023.
  • Three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal between 24 and 25 May 2023.
  • Three counts of failing to record movement of an animal on 24 May 2023.

A trial date was set for 26 October 2023 at Norwich Crown Court.
