Three men have been charged after a stabbing in Great Yarmouth that left a man in hospital with 'critical' injuries.

It comes after a fight during which two men were attacked by three other men outside Great Yarmouth Library on Tolhouse Street at around 10am on Saturday (September 10).

One man was stabbed and is now stable in hopsital, a second man suffered minor injuries.

FIve people were arrested following the incident and questioned at Great Yarmouth police station.

Alan Heatherington, 35, of Chaucer Road, Billy Gleeson, 21, of Yarmouth Way, and Martin Beth, 32, of Tyrolean Square, have all been charged with GBH with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in public.

Beth is also accused of causing actual bodily harm.

A woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s were both questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been released on bail until December 10.
