Thetford stabbing leaves man in critical condition in hospital

A man's in a critical condition in hospital, after he was stabbed in Thetford.

It happened yesterday (Sunday 10 March) morning.

Emergency services were called at 11.48am to reports of a fight in Bury Road during which a man, in his thirties, sustained multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains.

Three people, two women and a man, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit attempted murder.

Supt Sonia Humphreys who is leading the investigation said: "We understand this will be concerning to any residents in the area who witnessed the incident and we will have officers on patrol in the area.

“An investigation has been launched and we are in the early stages of our enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
