Bertie the Bin Truck and The Big Green Beast are among names for five new bin lorries which will be collecting waste in Great Yarmouth.

The new names have been chosen from suggestions submitted by local schoolchildren, who were told to come up with the most imaginative ideas they could think of.

The kids, who all attend schools in the borough, were also tasked with drawing a logo encouraging people to recycle their waste which will be printed on the side of the vehicles.

The winning logo was designed by 9 year old Leo Fish, who came up with the name 'The Big Green Beast'.

The other winners included:

- Ela Cinar, aged 11, with the name Bertie the Bin Truck

- Naomi Soares-Goodwyn, aged eight, with the name Eco Eva

- Nancy O'Leary, aged 11, with the name Dusty Pan

- Sally Longworth, aged nine, with the name Recycling Robin
