Teenage boy suffers cardiac arrest during school cricket match in Fakenham

Emergency services airlifted the boy to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after he collapsed during a school game on Monday afternoon

A teenage boy suffered a cardiac arrest while playing in a school cricket match at Fakenham Cricket Club on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 3:45pm.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: “We sent two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle, a rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene.

“The patient, a teenage boy, was transported by air to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment.”

It is reported that the boy attends Hethersett Academy, who Greatest Hits Radio have approached for more information.
