A rugby coach in Norfolk is telling us that a strong finish in the Six Nations from England- will go a long way towards inspiring the next generation to give the game a go.

Steve Borthwick's men need to beat Wales away, and see Scotland topple France in Paris to win the tournament for the first time since 2020.

"Jack Van Portfleet, Freddie Steward and Tommy Freeman, they've all come through various rugby clubs in Norfolk"

Darren Clarke is director of West Norfolk Rugby Club:

"I think it's going to be a really tricky game for us. For Wales, this is the one game that they want to win every year- as my friends at the club often tell me.

"I think we will win the game, but I think it's going to be a lot closer and most people are thinking it will be.

"Wales haven't won for several games, but have been on an upwards trend, since they appointed their new coach

He says the county has a strong history of training up some strong players

"Jack Van Portfleet, Freddie Steward and Tommy Freeman, they've all come through various rugby clubs in Norfolk.

"At West Norfolk- we had Scotland's Ali Price start at our club. Before he went on to pay for his country and The British Lions"
