Speedway: King's Lynn beat Wolverhampton
It all came down to one final race
King's Lynn ended the week on a high with a dramatic victory over Wolverhampton at the Adrina Flux Arena.
The Stars and the Wolves fought out a 45-45 draw, taking the meeting into an extra deciding race – and it was the home duo of Artem Laguta and skipper Nicolai Klindt who came out on top.
Klindt said: “We built on the momentum from Monday tonight. Again, we had a good team talk before the meeting, everyone was fired up and even though we ran a couple of lasts, we were still fighting.
“We didn’t give up, we were determined and that’s a massive difference. The past is what it is, and we can only focus on the present to make the future better...
“It was good today, the starts were much more like we wanted them, the track was as well and I think that played a big role, not just for myself but for the whole team. We had confidence in what we had to ride on.
“It was great to see a lot of people here tonight, and it means a lot to the whole team to see as many people here as possible. We can hear them when we’re out there.”
The Stars are back at home on Monday (June 19) when they host Leicester.
