Snow has started falling in King's Lynn this morning, covering the town in a blanket of white.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice in the East of England, as well as in the Midlands for today and into tomorrow morning.

It does warn there could be some icy patches on the roads and pavements.

The warning reads:

"Cloud is expected to clear this evening and overnight allowing temperatures to fall close to freezing which may lead to icy patches on untreated surfaces. A few showers are also expected across Kent and the far east of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk which maylead to more widespread ice in these areas."
