Six arrested after police break up 'unlicenced music event' near Downham Market

Around 100 people were discovered partying in a field in Methwold on Saturday

Six people have been arrested after police raided an unlicensed music event being held in the Norfolk countryside, near Downham Market.

Officers were called to land off Mundford Road in Methwold on Saturday at around midnight after reports of suspicious activity.

Around 100 people were discovered in a former pig shed at around 4am, where loud music was being played.

Police closed off the site and seized sound equipment and a number of vehicles.

Two men in their 30s were arrested, along with a boy in his later teens and a man and a woman aged in their 20s. The woman has been released underinvestigation, the other four are out on bail.

A man in his 20s from Cambridgeshire was arrested for breaching a court order and has been remanded in custody.
