Sandringham to celebrate Queen's Jubilee with special exhibition and programme of events
There are plans to feature a performance from Katherine Jenkins and The Military Wives
Sandringham say they'll be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a special exhibition and programme, that runs from early April through to October.
It will showcase her Majesty's close connection and love for the estate, animals and Norfolk's countryside.
With a special display focusing on the very first Christmas Day speech broadcast from 1957, recorded by The Queen at Sandringham House.
The celebrations will also begin on June 2nd with the traditional lighting of the Jubilee Beacon in the Royal Parkland.
There'll also be a special concert by Katherine Jenkins and The Military Wives, along with a commemorative planting in the Gardens.
With this all culminating with a pageant on the Estate showcasing a decade of motoring, accompanied by live music and aerial displays.
After this a range of limited-edition commemorative pieces unique to the Sandringham Estate Shop will be introduced in the coming months.
These will include a Sandringham Platinum Jubilee Pink Gin, a Platinum Jubilee Pale Ale, Sandringham celebratory own blend Tea and a special preserve made from local Norfolk fruit.
