A Norfolk branch of the RSPCA are appealing for help to trace the owner of a 6ft long boa constrictor, discovered in a field in Shipdham earlier this week.

The animal, described as a 'beautiful boy', was brought into the Mid Norfolk & North Suffolk branch of the charity on Monday.

The constrictor, which weighs around 7kg, has been dubbed 'Severus Snake' by volunteers.

Anyone with information about his owner is being urged to contact the branch.
