Norfolk police end search of River Wensum after earlier reports of a man in difficulty

Officers in Norwich have ended their search of the River Wensum, after earlier reports a man was in difficulty in the water.

Police, fire, ambulance, coastguard and lifeboats attended the scene, on Duke Street, after receiving a call just before 5:30 this morning.

A drone was also used to check the site.

Emergency services have now left - after finding nothing.

Broadsbeat will attend later today to do some final checks using sonar technology.

Duke Street in Norwich had been closed as emergency services searched, but it's since re-opened.
