The re-development of Hunstanton's Library and bus station has been delayed until next year.

This decision has been made due to fire safety regulations changes and sustained pressure supply chains, that have already caused delays.

West Norfolk Council say they wanted to avoid creating added disruption for the town, during the Christmas period, especially around the Princess Theatre.

They were however keen to reassure people that the housing and library development on the existing bus station site in Hunstanton will still going ahead, with work scheduled to start at the beginning of next spring.

The planned redevelopment of the current bus station and library site is intended to create 47 new homes, a new fit-for-purpose library and a number of retail shopping outlets.

Cllr Richard Blunt, Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development told us:

"Many projects across the country are having difficulty sourcing materials and other supplies, we are not unique in this matter".
