Volunteers at a heritage railway station tell us they need nearly £25 thousand to restore two of it's steam engines.

The pair known as 'Annie' and 'Victory date back to 1904 and 1945 and need a range of repairs to keep going for people to see.

This pair of small unique steam engines were originally put to work in coal yards and are now stationed at the Whitwell & Reepham Station.

"They are unique"

Richard Bailey is one of the trustees there:

"These engines are small and what they would class as small shunting industrial engines.

"A lot of people decide not to restore them because they don't see value in them, but we do.

"They are unique and take us back to a world where they would be used to move stuff around in coal yards".

He has this message for those wanting to donate:

"They can done to the site and donate that way and maybe have something to eat & drink, as that all helps us. Or they can donate online or by sending us an email".
