The Queen and Prince Philip won't be spending this Christmas at Sandringham, it's been announced.

Instead, they'll have Christmas 'quietly' at Windsor.

The Palace says Her Majesty has 'considered all the appropriate advice' and apparently hopes things will get back to normal next year.

A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace said:

“Having considered all the appropriate advice, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have decided that this year they will spend Christmas quietly in Windsor.”
