A King's Lynn man says news about parts of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital's roof being propped up is 'terrifying'.

Board papers have revealed parts of the site are being held up by props.

The QEH was built in 1980 and was designed to last 25 years - with fears the current building has become unsafe.

Jordan Stokes is one of the founders of KLOVE, an anti-hate group in Lynn, and says more needs to be done to push for a new hospital to be built.

He's now organised a socially distanced protest on Sunday to push for government funding.

He said: "I'll be perfectly honest, I don't find hospitals the most comfortable place to go in, even as a visitor.

"So knowing it could be falling apart around me is terrifying."

An ongoing campaign for a new hospital on the site is also being backed by local MP, James Wild.

A petition calling for a new hospital on the site has over 5,000 signatures so far.

The protest will be outside the hospital on Gayton Road at midday on Sunday.

Anyone is welcome to attend, as long as they have a mask, hand sanitiser and adhere to social distancing rules.
