Police given more time to question 17 year old after murder of Joe Dix in Norwich

Police have been given extra time to question a 17 year old boy arrested on suspicion of the murder of 18 year old Joe Dix in Norwich last week.

Joe was fatally stabbed in Vale Green on Friday night. A post mortem has found he died of blood loss.

The teenage suspect was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder, along with a 21 year old man, who was questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The 21 year old has now been released under investigation.

DCI Phill Gray, of Norfolk Police, said: “This is a complex investigation and we are working to establish the exact circumstances leading up to this tragic incident.

"We continue to conduct house to house and forensic enquiries and would repeat our appeal to hear from anyone who was in the local area between approximately 6pm and 8pm on Friday 28 January.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the area and may have dashcam footage.”
