Two chicks which hatched earlier this month have died, while a third egg failed to hatch
The Hawk and Owl Trust says its investigating after two Peregrine Falcon chicks which hatched at Norwich Cathedral in recent days died.
A third egg, which was laid as part of a trio by the female Peregrine back in March, has failed to hatch.
In a statement on social media, the Hawk and Owl Trust said: "We are sad to announce that the two hatched Peregrines have died, and the third egg has not hatched.
"As the facts are unknown about the cause of their death, nor will we speculate, the appropriate authorities have been informed.
"At this time, the live webcam and watchpoint have been suspended.
"We will issue a further statement once the facts have been established."
Norwich Cathedral has become a popular site for birdwatchers because of the falcons, who nest high up on the Cathedral spire.
The pair currently living in the nest box at Norwich successfully reared chicks last year.
