Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Old Hunstanton.

Officers are investigating an incident that happened at around 2.10pm on Tuesday 25 February 2025 when a man was out walking his dog close to the RNLI lifeboat house, along the public sand track for access to the beach huts and coastal pathway, when he was punched by a man walking a Husky-type dog.

The victim, who is aged in his 70s, became unsteady on his feet and the suspect continued to assault him on the ground.

Officers believe the two men may have been involved in a disagreement about their dogs before the assault.

The victim suffered injuries to his face that did not require hospital treatment.

Officers would like to speak to anyone in the area at the time who has yet to speak to police or anybody who witnessed the incident or stopped to offer assistance.

Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with Norfolk Police.
