Members of the Royal College of Nursing will be out on Sunday and until Monday evening.
People across Norfolk are being urged to avoid A&E, unless in an absolute emergency, with strike action over this bank holiday weekend.
Members of the Royal College of Nursing will be out on Sunday and until Monday evening.
Patients across the county are being told to seek non-urgent treatment via 111 or pharmacists, as an alternative.
People are being urged to only call 999 or attend A&E if they've been involved in a serious accident, experience chest pains, breathing difficulties, serious bleeding or signs of a stroke.
The minor injuries unit in Cromer and the Walk In Centre in Norwich remain available.
Tricia D’Orsi, Executive Director of Nursing at NHS Norfolk and Waveney, said:
“We understand people will be concerned that appointments are having to be re-arranged and that this can cause disappointment."
"We are working hard to make sure emergency services, and those which need to be prioritised, maintain safe standards of care.
“Please continue to treat all NHS and care staff with the respect they deserve. Abuse of any kind is not acceptable and will not be tolerated and we urge people to be kind and respectful towards our staff who are working incredibly hard to reschedule elective care appointments.”
The Royal College of Nursing has had to shorten a planned 48-hour strike this weekend after losing a court case taken by the Government questioning the legality of the walkout.
Members of the RCN are walking out in a dispute over pay and conditions.
