One covid-19 patient at QEH, King's Lynn

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, Trust was caring for one coronavirus patient in hospital as of last Tuesday (6 July), figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on 6 July was in line with the same day the previous week.

There were no beds occupied by Covid-19 patients four weeks ago in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, NHS Foundation Trust.

Across England there were 1,998 people in hospital with Covid as of July 6, with 353 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally more than doubled in the last four weeks, as has the number on mechanical ventilators, which has increased by 152%.

The figures also show that two new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, NHS Foundation Trust in the week to July 4. This was up from one in the previous seven days.
