Man charged over Norwich stabbing

A man from Norwich has been charged following a stabbing in the city.

Police were called to Theobald Road at 9am on Saturday 18 May 2024 after a man was found with stab wounds.

The man, in his 30s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

A man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm.

They were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and subsequently released on bail.

Following further enquiries, police tell us a second man in his 30s was arrested in Bowman Road on Sunday (19 May).

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Stuart Brittain, 35, of Bowman Road, Norwich, was charged with GBH and remanded in custody.

He's due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today (21st May).
