Norwich man jailed after more than £11,000 worth of cocaine is found in his home

A man from Norwich has been sentenced to two years in prison after admitting to drug offences.

Gary Bowgen, aged 56, of Dalrymple Way, Norwich, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Friday 14 June 2024 charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property.

He was arrested on Wednesday 12 August 2020 after officers executed a search warrant at his home address under the misuse of drugs act.

Once inside they found over £8,000 in cash and 455 Euros as well as a “wholesale” quantity of cocaine said to have a street value of over £11,000.

Officers also found equipment including scales and plastic bags linked to the onward supply of drugs as well as a “dealer list.”

A thumbprint matching Bowgen’s was also found on the inside of a tub containing cocaine.

A quantity of jewellery, fake Rolex watches, and one genuine gold Rolex with an estimated value of up to £22,000 were also recovered.

Bowgen was handed two years in prison for the possession with intent to supply offence, and one year to run concurrently for the possession of criminal property.
