A local foodbank owner tell us their donations are looking "very healthy" in the run-up to Autumn and Christmas.

It follows 'seven car loads' of items being given over to Norwich's Trussell branch- by scouts and cubs, last week.

"There needs to be a bit of education around that"

Hannah Worsley is project manager there:

She says this help comes at the right time for those they support:

"Donations have generally been a bit lower this year, in particular. We are definitely buying in more food and sending out plenty of material urging people to support us as best they can over harvest.

"We're really hopeful that this next phase of the year will be a really good period for people to get behind and support us.

"We hear from people, that they've turned everything off, but of course there are standing charges. So there needs to be a bit of education around that.

"It's not just when it's off it's not going to cost you anything.

"There's still a conversation to be had, people need to be aware that when they put the heating on for the first time in a while, you might be starting with some debt there".
