Norwich City fan who's fundraised thousands being made a 'community hero'
Westy's raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support
A Norwich fan who's running a half-marathon for charity tells us that two Canaries players have donated money.
Nathan West, from Earsham, is taking on the challenge at the start of October, down in Kent.
He'll be raising money for to support MacMillan Cancer Support and told us why: "It's very close to my heart.
"When I was seven, my Grandad died from it, and then a few years later my Nan died from it too."
So far he's raised well over £50,000 for MacMillan - his initial target was just £500.
Nathan says he's been overwhelmed by people's generosity: "It's amazing. The charity phoned me up recently and told me how happy they are.
"One day the website malfunctioned it - it just couldn't handle all the traffic!"
He's received donations from thousands of supporters, including Norwich City's Angus Gunn and Shane Duffy.
He's also been invited to watch an England game at Wembley.
Now Nathan tells us, as a result of his fundraising efforts, Norwich City are making him a 'community hero': "It's amazing and it means I get to take a match ball out.
"My friends and family are so proud of me."
