Norwich City Women are to round off their Women's National League season with an appearance at Carrow Road.

Shaun Howes' side will swap The Nest for the iconic stadium on April 16, to take on Ashford Town Women in the final home fixture of the season.

It will be the first time the women's side have appeared at Carrow Road since they were fully integrated with the Canaries in February last year.

Norwich City Women are currently 4th in the Women's National League Division One South East.

General manager, Flo Allen, said: “We are in such an exciting era for women’s football."

“The Lionesses captured the nation with their emphatic performances and electric atmospheres as they lifted the European Championship trophy in front of sell-out crowds last summer.

“With our very own women’s team regularly attracting large attendances at The Nest, this is a fantastic opportunity for both current and prospective fans to experience Carrow Road and women’s football for potentially the very first time.

“As a football club, we are extremely proud of our local community, and we hope that this fixture provides families, schools and grassroots clubs in the local area, the opportunity to enjoy the experience of football at Carrow Road."
