Norwich City have signed Chile international midfielder Marcelino Núñez on a long term deal.

He's making the move across the world to Norfolk for an undisclosed fee, leaving top flight side Universidad Católica.

He's scored 11 goals in 83 appearances.

Speaking to the Canaries website, Núñez said: “I’m really happy to have arrived here and I’m just excited to get started.

“What do I see myself as? Well, I like to get into the box, I like to go for goal. I like to play in set-plays and be involved in and outside of the box.

"Now I’m here at Norwich, I have my objectives and I want to achieve everything that I can with the club.”

Núñez has experience in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, the South American equivalent of the Champions League and Europa League.

He's made seven apperances for the Chile national team.
